FNST 272 - Metis Studies Level Four: Working with Metis Communities
This class is designed to both develop and apply a set of research skills and competencies for working with Metis Communities. In the first year of the course, we will be working on a research project in conjunction with members of the Metis community of Prince George, on the history of the Island Cache, an urban Metis Community which existed in Prince George until 1973. The general design of the course is intended to both serve the research project we will undertake, and be flexible enough that should a similar project be requested by another Metis community, the course can be adapted to the specific purposes of future needs.
