Ths is the second part of a two-semester course in modern physics, providing an introduction to the theories of quantum mechanices and relativity and their applications. Topics include Lorentz transformations, relativistic kinematics, relativistic dynamics, statistical physics, the solid state of matter, structure of crystals, semiconductors and superconductors, nuclear structure, radioactivity, nuclear reactions, applications of nuclear physics, elementary particles, and elements of cosmology. Please note: You must register separately in lecture and lab components.
