This course focuses on the design of timber structural elements and connections. Topics include the behavior and design of bending, tension and compression members made of solid timber or glue-laminated timber and the complete suite of contemporary connectors and connector systems. Students design and analyze various structural components and design, build, test and analyze a connection assembly.
