First part of the calculus-based introductory physics course for majors in physical and mathematical sciences. Covers: Vectors, measurement, motion in one and two dimensions, the laws of motion, application of Newton's laws, work and energy, potential energy, conservation of energy, linear momentum and collisions, rotation of rigid bodies, rolling motion, angular momentum, static equilibrium, elasticity, law of universal gravitation, elements of thermodynamics. Please note: You must register separately in lecture and lab components.
