Metis Studies Level Two: The Metis Nation and the Canadian State. During this course, we will look closely at the historic and contemporary relations between the Metis, the Canadian State, and the ramifications of state policies on the maintenance of the Metis as a distinct people. We will also look at the way the Metis people, as individuals, have experienced the Canadian justice system.
