IENG 614 - Building Science I
This course focuses on the fundamentals of acoustic design and sound separation. It also addresses absorbing and reducing the transfer of sound in wooden or composite buildings and mitigating other sources of vibration. The basics of fire dynamics, the principles of fire protection, and the behavior of wood buildings during fire are explored. Light and electromagnetic fields in buildings are also studied.
