IENG 727 - Wood Processing | ||
This course introduces students to prefabrication. Topics cover state-of-the-art fabrication technology including CNC-machines and industrial robots, tooling options, material handling, and process flow. Students learn the basics of Design for Manufacture and Assemble (DfMA) including machine interfacing, machining strategies, and how design decisions influence the ability to assemble and manufacture a structure to the highest standards and efficiency.
